Busy! Busy! Busy! It was a hectic week for those members involved in the building of the float and the preparation of this remarkable 1st Anniversary Pig Roast Luau. Thank you all for the level of commitment it took to bring this day to fruition. It was a proud day for the members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3765 in their new home in Canaan, NH. We really made a splash with our float carrying the theme "REDUCE REUSE RECYCLE" which took 1st Place and Best of Show. The elaborate float included a running stream as well as a functioning windmill. As if that wasn't enough. We also took 1st for "Adult Organization".
After the parade our crew moved on to a spectacular Pig Roast. Bob Hodge & Shannon Higgins generously donated the long hours necessary to bring the pig to the plate. The scrumptious pork was complimented by the many pot luck items supplied by the members. This incredible buffet also featured a very elaborate luau pig cake. We were all blown over by the beautiful, elaborate, and fun cake designed and decorated by the tremendous Lisa Tremblay. Everything was delicious!!!
We were also graced by the visit of our State Madam Auxiliary President, Vicki Sullivan and State Aerie Secretary, Ray Nolin and his wife Past State Madam Auxiliary President, Nancy. During their visit our very deserving local secretary, Peter Beaupre, was presented with the state Eagle of the Year award. Go Peter!!!
Thanks goes to all that played a part in this remarkable day! Imagine...we have only just begun to do the good that we are capable of.
